The new season for Pinoy Big Brother will start this March. We haven’t had a domain name for it yet. But incase you are interested and wanted to be informed do email me at pinoy[at]kalyepinoy.com . We will be sending you invitations when the site is ready.

This time, on the new Pinoy Big Brother site, we are allowing members of this community to contribute articles if they wanted to and we can post it on the blog site. Its like having a core group of authors and editors that would no longer be confined to us alone. We are also planning to put faces behind the names. So expect that we will be asking for some of your pictures soon.

Im proud of Yeng for winning the First Pinoy Dream Academy. She deserves it.

I got not much to say… The order of ranking are pretty much the same as in the polls with Jay-R as runner up and Ronnie as 2nd runner up. I believe somebody among the 6 finalists, aside from Yeng, will make it big in the future.

It was an entertaining season.

To all who contributed in the discussions and in one way or the other a part of this blog community may you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Special mention to Carla who is our Top Pinoy Dream Academy Fan.. Kung may voting lang sana for being a top fan, I would cast my text votes on you…

What’s next after PDA Season?

Watch out for the sizzling hot PDA Dream Girls composed of Gemma Fitzgerald, Its Saludo, Michelle Murenec, Jonah Maluto, Czar Rosales, and Wendy Valdez.

Along with good looks and excellent voice, they certainly have the x-factor - whatever it is.

At the moment they need to improve on movement coordination and choreography and add some sexyness on their outfits.

Given a little more spice, would they be the next local spice girls?

Does our text votes really matter?

Actually at this point, I am no longer inclined to spend money on my votes. All six scholars are already winners and they already had their share of exposure that will make them a big star when they come out of the academy.
I don’t care who will win for the following reasons:

1.) It doesn’t make a scholar better than the other if we depend on text votes for him/her win - PDA is much different than Pinoy Big Brother. Winning by popularity and money doesn’t make sense. We need jurors that has the credentials and credibility to decide who is best.

2.) Giving money away to ABS-CBN is not a smart thing to do. I rather give it to the typhoon victims who needed it more.

3.) I am already entertained and had my share of texting and I think its enough.

4.) My bet is already gone (sour graping).
My vote no longer matters…

But i’ll still watch this Saturday’s Episode.. See ya all there!!!

Rosita and Ivan Out

Just when you least expect it, two of the top contenders bow out of the competition. Ivan Lambatan and Rosita Bareng are expelled and thus remaining scholars formed the top 6 that will be performing on Araneta next Saturday. The top 6 are Panky, Chad, Yeng, Irish, Jay-R and Ronnie.

I was expecting at least one of the remaining global contestant to be eliminated. The power of the dollar seems to prove that its easier to buy bulk votes abroad - or does it? Not sure where all those votes came from and we are left to the integrity of ABS-CBN for the results.

I see Ivan not a wasted talent. He may not make it today but he has the most promising career waiting ahead of him. I see discipline and the dedication that makes a performer a star.

Well all you anti-Rosita — are you happy now?

Anybody’s Game

The Pinoy Dream Academy top 6 can be anybody’s game. The Poll shows Irish and Chad at the lowest end but it can have +-5% error. So basically only Yeng is sure to be on the top 6 for tonight.

Chad seems to be lowest and much likely to be one booted out. The other one cannot be determined based on the poll results.

Stay tune tonight as the top 6 be revealed.

Yeng at 18

Yeng recently celebrated her birthday at the academy. The scholars, teachers, friends and family members were there to celebrate the moment with her. She wore a nice yellow gown but has that ‘baduy’ shoe, looking like a Robertson snickers made into boots. I seem not to like the combination. Masakit sa mata tingnan. Maybe its just me.

She danced with 18 men who are most special to her. Headmaster Jim was the first then the scholars, her band mates , brothers, RJ then her father last. RJ was very nervous and sometimes irritating as he kept on asking Yeng — Ok lang bahhh?.

Ok lang ang ano RJ?

The band ‘Hale’ also joined the celebration as they sang a couple of their famous hit songs. Yeng joyfully jammed with them.

I almost forgot, RJ did compose a song for Yeng as well. Nice song, though Yeng seems not to flush any emotions when RJ sang it.

Anyways, Yeng is leading the polls and got a big chance of winning this competition. Though she’s not my favorite, Im betting my 5 pesos that she will win.
